My name is Mellen.

I’m a graduate of Kutztown University with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design & Illustration. I’ve spent 10+ years in the industry and continue to grow my skills every day. I’m also a wild food forager, and have even been trained in tattooing!

After working in the office for Crayola at the start of my career, I headed out on a year-long adventure living and working full-time in a 20ft camper. I’m back to a stable life in a brick and mortar home now, but still get to enjoy traveling from time to time.

Currently, I work as a full-time freelance artist, but also make time for community-based work that I feel passionate about. I’ve taught art classes for The Baum School of Art in Allentown, painted murals in my city, cook delicious and healthy food at Cafe Santosha which later became Local Leaf Market and frequently sell my art at local festivals and events. Perhaps you’ve met me in person before!

I believe in living closely with nature and spreading kindness wherever I can. Making people happy through my art is a life-long journey I hope to share with as many folks as I can.
